DIY Display Case

Due to continous poisoning from evil bay, ran out of space on current display case. Thought I'll will share this project due to some enquires about my avatar display case.

Since forced to clear leave this week, thought of spending some time to build two new display case to fit into divider. Taking measurement with measuring tape (1st mistake) and calculate the number of slots that can fit VW model sizes. Settled on 4 columns and 8 rows making 32 slots.

Ordered necessary acrylic materials and adhesive from supplier.

Glue the back and sides to form the case. And test fit on divider, found ~5mm gap Mad

, my measuring tape have a big error.

Glue the shelves and add to case. Notice some adhesive marks (2nd mistake) due to using board brush Mad

for application.

Left with drilling the front cover but need to do that in the office. Will post pictures when case is complete and Hotwheels added Cool

Eight: It cost SGD$58 for 1st case, where everything is cut to size. Current case cost SGD$48 each, but need to cut smaller pieces myself.

did your ordered the pieces according to your display shelves size or you cut it yourself?

Raymond: Did some simple calculations and then ordered the big pieces as they can cut square and accurate to dimension. I only cut those small separators between the cars.

wow nice .....i already make an order to fit 100 cars and the price around 80 dollar ...hopefully done by this week
